Police Blotter 05-20-19 to 05-26-19


05/20/2019 04:45 – MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
SOUTH LANSDOWNE AVE.

Police were dispatched to S Lansdowne Avenue for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officer spoke with the vehicle owner who stated he parked his vehicle in a spot across from the apartment building at approximately 7pm last night (5/19/19). When he came out to the parking lot this morning around 4:30am, he observed his vehicle was missing.


05/20/2019 09:24 – ASSAULT
ARDMORE AVE.

At the above date and time police were dispatched to the Ardmore Avenue School for a report of an assault that had just occurred. Additional information was that an adult was fighting with a juvenile. Upon arrival, officers met with the involved parties. One adult offender was charged.


05/22/2019 05:50 – DUI
NORTH LANSDOWNE AVE.

After investigating an accident, subject was taken into custody for DUI and other related charges.


05/23/2019 14:25 – LITTERING
PENN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL

While at the Penn Wood High school for the afternoon school dismissal, officer observed the subject throw a pamphlet down onto the sidewalk. Officer advised the defendant to pick the pamphlet up and he started to walk away and refused to pick up pamphlet after numerous requests. The defendant was issued a citation for littering.


05/23/2019 20:03 – THEFT
WINDERMERE AVE.

Police dispatched to Windermere Ave for a stolen license plate discovered. Victim unsure when plate went missing.


05/24/2019 23:18 – NARCOTICS POSSESSION
N. UNION AVE.

While on routine patrol, officers stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. The driver was found to be in possession of marijuana.


05/25/2019 20:41 – CRIMINAL MISCHIEF TO AUTO
NYACK AVE.

Female victim contacted the police regarding damage to her vehicle. She stated that in the area of Schappet Terrace, she heard the sound of something hitting the passenger’s side of her vehicle. When she later inspected the damage, there were several impact points on the passenger side which chipped the paint and dented several areas of the vehicle. It appears that unknown actor(s) picked up some of the loose rocks in the driveway of a house and threw the rocks at the vehicle.


05/26/2019 05:24 – WARRANT
E. BALTIMORE AVE.

While investigating a suspicious vehicle, officers arrested an adult female after learning that she had a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of strangulation out of the State Of Delaware.


05/26/2019 20:29 – SIMPLE ASSAULT
E. STRATFORD AVE.

A warrant was issued for an adult male after a domestic related physical assault.
