Police activity week of 04-29-13 through 05-05-13

04-30-13 20:31 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – DUI
E. Stewart & N. Wycombe Aves. – As a result of a motor vehicle accident offender was taken into custody for DUI. The offender did fail three field sobriety tests.


05-03-13 11:48 hours – Ptl c. Schiazza – Burglary-nor force-residence-unknown time
100 block Gladstone Rd. – Theft of copper piping discovered. The property manager did report to police that while checking the property today he found the front door of the home unlocked. There were several pieces of copper piping cut in the basement and removed from the home.


05-03-13 16:45 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Public drunkenness
Mansfield Rd & W. Baltimore Ave. – This officer observed the offender sitting on the side walk in a slouched position. He was observed holding a can of beer. The offender had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person along with glassy blood shot eyes. The offender had difficulty standing and was place into custody. He was cited housed and will be released pending him sobering up.


05-04-13 16:53 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Assault
W. Baltimore & S. Lansdowne Aves. – Police were dispatched for a suspicious gray Chevrolet shooting BB guns out of the window. Several victims reported to police of being shot with a BB gun. A store front on Lansdowne Avenue was damaged with shots from a BB gun. The three offenders were apprehended, taken into custody and processed for assault.


05-05-13 19:59 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary-no force-residence-night
100 block N. Union Ave. – Police were dispatched to a burglary in progress. On arrival this officer was met by a witness, who observed a man going inside the apartment building, the witness knew no one was authorized to be in the building. Offender was apprehended and taken into custody. The offender will be charged appropriately.
