Police activity week of 04-28-14 through 05-04-14

04-28-1400:24 hours- Sgt. J. McCaughan – Narcotics-sale
E. Baltimore & N. Lansdowne Aves. – One taken into custody as a result of a vehicle stop and pursuit. Located with the offender was suspected crack cocaine.

04-28-1411:00 hours – Ptf. P. Young – Criminal mischief
N. Lansdowne & Stewart Aves. – While on patrol this officer did notice graffiti at the stated location. A photo of the graffiti was added to this report.

04-29-1409:003 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft – under $50 from auto
100 block Blackburn Ave. – The victim reports that when she got into her vehicle
to go to work she noticed her vehicle had been rifled through. The only thing she noticed missing was a bottle of anti-freeze. It is possible the vehicle was

04-29-1408:30 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Pornography/obscene material
200 block w. Albemarle Ave. – Was requested to contact UDPD in reference to possible dissemination of sexually explicit material. It was determined upon calling UDPD that the incident involved a group of nine teenagers. This investigation will continue.

04-30-1403:02 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – DUI
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The offender was taken into custody for DUI after receiving a call for vehicle blocking a driveway of a local business.

04-30-1408:35 hours – Ptf. J. McGowan – Assault
100 block Hansell Rd. – Police were dispatched for a domestic. On arrival met the victim who had visible bruises and a small laceration to the face. The offender was taken into custody.

05-01-1408:00 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- attempted from auto
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – LPD was notified of a theft attempt from vehicles in the auto repair parking lot. This incident occurred sometime in the evening hours. It appeared someone had attempted to unlock the door to the vehicle.

05-01-14 11:04 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Assaults
Windermere & W. Essex Aves. – Police were dispatched for a domestic. On arrival this officer met with the victim. She had a red mark on her right cheek bone and it was beginning to swell, she also had a bleeding laceration to her left elbow. The offender was her ex-boyfriend. A warrant was issued for the offender. 17:26 hours – The offender was taken into to custody without incident.

05-01-1419:00 hours – Ptl. P. Young – Criminal mischief
Scottdale Rd. – While on patrol, this officer did notice graffiti on the back of a stop sign. The stop sign is located at the parking lot for the tennis court.

05-02-14 11:05 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- $200 & over from buildings
100 block Green Ave. – PWHS – Dispatched to PWHS for theft of a phone discovered. Mother of the victim stated that the Principal called and stated her son’s phone had been stolen from first period health class today. At approximately 1800 hours this officer received a call from the victim’s mother that the cell phone was returned anonymously.

05-02-14 14:06 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Forgery
100 block W. Albemarle Ave. – The victim reports her husband noticed that his Red Apple I-phone was missing from his vehicle. The victim then reported that they received a call from TD Bank, where they have an account which someone cashed a check for $1,000.00. The victim then discovered their TD Bank check book was missing from the glove compartment.

05-02-14 15:02 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Criminal mischief to auto
Braddock Ave. & E. Marshall Rd. – Police dispatch advised that a group of males was throwing rocks at passing cars. Two vehicles received damage from the thrown rocks. Police were unable to locate the actors.

05-03-1417:11 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct
Unit block E. LaCrosse Ave. – Police received a call for illegal drug activity in the rear of the location, called in by the landlord. As a result of the call, two adult males were cited for disorderly conduct.

05-03-1422:25 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Vandalism
100 block S. Wycombe Ave. – On arrival the tenant reports that unknown actor had forced entry into the garage by kicking open the door. Nothing known missing from the property.

05-04-1400:54 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Criminal mischief to auto
E. LaCrosse & N. Highland Aves. – The victim reports unknown actor had put sugar
and eggs on her vehicle. She is not sure if they put any sugar in the gas tank. She will have vehicle towed to the shop for inspection and repair.
