Police activity week of 04-20-15 through 04-26-15

04-20-15 12:36 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Criminal mischief to auto
Unit block Nyack Ave. – The victim reports his vehicle windshield had a spider web type crack and the front driver side window was completely smashed out.


04-20-15 16:58 hours – Sgt. C. Schiazza – Burglary-forced entry-residence-day
Unit block S. Wycombe Ave. – Responded to a report of a burglary discovered. The two victims reported that when they returned home they found that someone had made forced entry into their apartment. Did observe forced entry into apartment. Several items of value were taken.


04-20-15 18:04 hours – Sgt. C. Schiazza – Burglary-attempt-residence-unk time
Unit block Nyack Ave. – While taking the previous burglary report I was advised by the building maintenance man that over the weekend another burglary had occurred at one of the other apartments. It was never reported to police. This officer did speak to the victim. There were pry marks on the door. The victim does not believe entry was made into the apartment.


04-20-15 21:50 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Criminal mischief to auto
100 block Bartram Ave. – The victim discovered that an unknown person smashed the front windshield of her vehicle.


04-22-1505:18 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Theft- under $50 from auto
100 block E. Plumstead Ave. – The victim reports his vehicle was ransacked overnight. He states the doors to the vehicle were locked. The vehicle registration sticker was removed.


04-22-15 05:40 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Theft-under $50 from auto
200 block Green Ave. – The victim reports his unlocked vehicle was entered and ransacked. Loose change was the only thing missing.


04-22-15 06:08 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- under $50 from auto
200 block N. Highland Ave. – The victim reports her unlocked vehicle was entered and ransacked overnight. The victim stated that nothing appears to be missing.


04-22-15 09:20 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- attempted-auto
300 block Barker Ave. -The victim reports his locked vehicle was entered overnight and ransacked. Nothing appears to be missing and there does not appear to be any forced entry.


04-22-1509:32 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- under $50 from auto
300 block Barker Ave. – The victim reports her unlocked vehicle was entered and ransacked overnight. Approximately $10.00 worth of change and bills was reported take n.


04-22-15 08:04 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
200 block Wayne Ave. – The victim reports that someone had gone through her unlocked vehicles sometime overnight. Both vehicles were missing some change and a few dollars.


04-22-15 13:04 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- attempt- from auto
200 block Wayne Ave. – The victim reports unknown person did enter his unlocked vehicle. Nothing missing from the vehicle.


04-23-15 10:31 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Disorderly conduct
100 block Green Ave. PWHS – Dispatched to the school for disorderly subjects in the office. Two offenders were returned to LPD and cited accordingly.


04-24-15 11:30 hours – Sgt. C. Schiazza – Assault
200 block Ardmore Ave. – Received a report from UDPD of a possible child abuse that was occurring at a home on the 200 block of Ardmore Avenue in Lansdowne. This involves a female juvenile being beaten with an extension cord by a family member. This investigation will continue.


04-27-1507:09 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – MV theft- auto
100 block Nyack Ave. – The victim reported his vehicle was stolen from outside of his residence. Investigation revealed that a relative had the vehicle.
