Police activity week of 04-16-12 through 04-23-12

04-16-12 11:20 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Fraud
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – The victim came to police headquarters to report that a money order was stolen from her and cashed. She suspects an employee at the car wash. She remembers having the money order prior to going to the car wash. She did not give anyone permission to cash the money order. Money order was cashed at a Wells Fargo bank in Philadelphia.


04-16-12 18:20 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Disorderly conduct
E. Stewart & Highland Aves. – While on patrol I observed a white vehicle with the occupant waiving her arm out of the window and honking the car horn. I pulled alongside the vehicle and the occupant pointed to a red Ford Expedition in front of her and stated there were drugs in that car. I conducted a vehicle stop on the Ford and the male occupant/offender stated he “had weed” and preceded to hand me a small glass jar containing green leafy vegetable matter of suspect marijuana. The offender was transported to police headquarters and issued a citation for disorderly conduct. The vehicle was towed.


04-17-12 10:00 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Burglary-forced entry-residence-unknown time
200 block W. Marshall Rd. – Victim reports her home was entered and items of clothing, belonging to her niece and a flat screen TV were taken. Located broken pane of glass in back door. Unknown value of loss at this time.


04-17-12 12:21 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Burglary-no force-residence-day
200 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Report of a burglary interrupted. Delcom advised that two males had left the scene. Two actors located and taken into custody. Both actors/offenders will be charged with burglary.


04-17-12 16:45 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Burglary-attempt-residence-day
Unit block w. Stratford Ave. – Police spoke with the reporting parties who stated the step-son had seen a suspicious male in their yard earlier in the day. The subject left the area. Later the victim states while tending the garden she noticed a screw, which was not there earlier. Checked a window nearby and there were visible scratches on the window. It appeared as if someone was attempting to pry the window open.


04-18-12 08:00 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – All other vandalism
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Police responded to a theft from packages. On arrival the reporting party stated that when she arrived at work she had received a note indicating that packages were opened in the mail room of building B. The RP reviewed the footage and found what she believes to be footage of the incident. The footage shows a man enter the mail room and opened two packages. The note addressed to the property manager/reporting party was not signed. At this time the identity of the victim/s is not known.


04-19-12 01:01 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – All other-contempt of court
200 block N. Wycombe Ave. – Police received a report of a domestic argument. Police responded and could hear arguing from inside the apartment. Spoke to the victim, who had a PFA against the offender. The offender was taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.


04-19-12 18:51 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- under $50- auto parts & accessories
200 block Glentay Ave. – the victim reports he received a phone call from his girlfriend who told him that he should go check out his registration sticker because her father took it. The victim checked his vehicle and discovered the sticker was stolen.


04-20-12 01:38 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft- $200 & over – from auto
100 block N. Union Ave. – Electronic equipment missing from dash of vehicle, a pioneer GPS/navigation/DVD system and an Xbox 360 game system also taken. There was also damage to the doors of vehicle.


04-20-12 09:30 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – All other crimes code violations
100 block Green Ave. -PWHS – Report of a juvenile female detained in the assistant principals’ officer for bringing a weapon to school. The juvenile was taken into custody processed and released to her cousin. A rock, bottle of liquid and scissors were disposed of.


04-20-12 17:15 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Assault-knife or cutting instrument
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Victim reports that she was sitting in front of the Dollar Tree store at the bus stop on N. Lansdowne Ave & E. LaCrosse Aves when she observed a black female across the street. The victim states the female crossed the street and sat on the same bench. The victim reports that the offender then punched her in the left arm and then pulled a knife from her pocketbook. The victim states the offender began yelling and screaming at her while she was waving a knife at her. The offender was taken into custody and will be appropriately charged.


04-21-12 20:46 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Public Drunkenness
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Dispatched for an intoxicated person. Located the offender and immediately detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The offender was placed into custody cited for public drunkenness and released to his ex-wife.


04-22-12 21:08 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – All other vandalism
Unit block S. Highland Ave. – Complainant reports hearing a noise, when he came outside he observed the window to neighboring building broken and a pink like color paint running down the main entrance door. The owner of the building was notified and did respond to secure the building.
