Police activity week of 04-14-14 through 04-20-14
04-14-14 17:16 hours – Sgt. K. Rutherford – Burglary-forced entry -residenceday
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – Responded to assist with a burglary investigation
involving multiple apartments. Apartment #1 & #2 we burglarized. Neither
tenant was on location. The front door and the doors to the apartments were
forced open with some type of pry bar. Jewelry was reported missing from both
04-15-14 11:44 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft – $200 & over from buildings
Unit block Nyack Ave. -The victims state he had ordered a computer which he did
not receive. Per the postal service the package was left in the lobby area where
the mail is delivered to the building. Value of computer $585.86.
04-16-14 10:17 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- attempted -from auto
Unit block S. Wycombe Ave. – This officer was flagged down for the attempted
theft from vehicle that had just occurred. The unknown actor opened the
unlocked van door and attempted to get inside. The actor left the scene after
seeing the reporting party. Check area with negative results.
04-16-14 12:35 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- under $50 from auto
Unit block Berkley Ave. – The victim stated that someone stole her PA registration
card from her vehicle. The vehicle was unlocked.
04-16-14 15:00 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft- $200 & over from auto
100 block N. Union Ave. – The victim returned home around 01:30 hours and
parked his vehicle in the driveway of his apartment. Upon returning to the
vehicle at 15:00 hours he discovered the vehicle resting on a jack and both right
side wheels and tires were missing.
04-17-14 10:13 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft $200 & over
100 block Bartram Ave. – On arrival the reporting party, employed by a
landscaping company, stated he set the trimmer and backpack blower on the
ground in the front yard of the property. After cutting the grass in the rear yard,
came out front and discovered both items were missing.
04-17-1423:19 hours – Ptl. L Albertoli – Assaults
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – Warrant issued for suspect in a simple assault.
Reporting parties came to headquarters and gave statements regarding the
04-18-1401:54 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Drive under influence
W. Baltimore Ave. – The offender was stopped for a traffic violation. A strong
odor of marijuana could be smelled emanating from her person and inside the
vehicle. The oftener did admit to smoking marijuana. The offender was taken
into custody and will be charged appropriately.
04-19-1401:02 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Burglary-forced-residence-night
100 block W. Albemarle Ave. – Offender taken into custody after he had broken
into the residence of his girlfriend. A domestic had preceded this offense.
04-19-1422:54 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Criminal mischief
100 block Austin Ave. – Upon police arrival it was determined that a rock had
been thrown through the first floor window of the victim’s residence.
