Police activity week of 04-04-11 through 04-10-11
04-05-11 11:55 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Forgery
Unit block w. Baltimore Ave. – Offender arrested for attempting to cash a check with fraudulent I.D. at the bank.
04-05-11 13:24 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Disorderly conduct
100 block Green Ave. (PWHS) – Police were dispatched to the high school for the report of a fight that occurred earlier in the day. The Asst. Principal explained that the offender attacked the victim in the hallway. The attack on the victim appears to be unprovoked. The offender was released at the scene. She is being sent a citation for disorderly conduct. Her mother was notified via phone
04-05-11 15:29 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – MV theft
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – On arrival spoke to the General Manager of the car lot. He explained that a black male asked to see a Mustang and wanted a test drive. The Manager handed him the keys and went to the office to get a PA dealers tag to put on the vehicle. As he got to the office, he turned around and saw the male drive the car out of the lot. No ID was obtained from the male prior to handing him the keys. The area was quickly checked by multiple jurisdictions with negative results.
04-06-11 04:53 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
100 block W. Albemarle Ave. – The victim came to police headquarters to report a theft from his unlocked vehicle. Garmin 500 GPS missing from the vehicle.
04-07-11 21:28 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Harassment
100 block Woodland Ave. – This officer cited the offender based on information received from the victim. The offender allegedly stole the victim’s vehicle and then called and text messaged him several times while police were on location. The calls and text messages were harassing in nature in that they were taunting him that he would not find his vehicle. The alleged theft occurred in Philadelphia.
04-07-11 21:45 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan -Theft- $200 & over from auto
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – While working a surveillance detail in area of N. Lansdowne Ave. this officer observed two white males in area of Antenucci Brothers Auto Repair. Observed the offenders remove several lengths of copper piping from a rack on a blue Ford pickup truck. The offender walked Weston W. Strafford Avenue with the piping. The offenders were stopped and taken into custody. The victim was contacted and stated the offenders did not have permission to take the copper. Both offenders will be charged appropriately.
04-08-11 18:11 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Theft- under $50 from auto
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports her 1992 Jeep Cherokees was entered while parked in the rear lot on N. Lansdowne Avenue. The vehicle was locked and entry was forced. Missing were sunglasses and CD’s.
04-09-11 00:01 – Burglary-forced entry-residence-night
100 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded to a burglary discovered. When the victim arrived home he noticed the interior of the house was in disarray. Actors made entry through a basement window. Taken from the residence were 40″ TV, Laptop computer, and a firearm. Investigation to continue.
04-09-11 09:52 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Robbery-attempt-firearm-chain store
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – The victim reports while he was opening the store he observed a black male approximately 5’10″, medium build, chocolate complexion wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, black pants and carry a black back pack that was over both shoulders. The victim fought the offender off and the reported the attempt to police. Police searched the area for the offender with negative results.
