Police activity week of 03-21-11 through 03-27-11

03-21-11 07:11 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Criminal mischief to automobiles
Unit block E. Stewart Ave. – Police were dispatched for vandalism to vehicle discovered. On police arrival spoke to the victim. It appears sugar had been poured into her gas tank. This seems to be an ongoing dispute between the victim and person/s the victim suspects of the damage. This officer referred the victim to district court.

03-21-11 17:52 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Criminal mischief to automobiles
100 block N. Wycombe Ave. – The victim reports that the left rear door glass was broken out of the motor vehicle white it was parked in the driveway some time today.

03-21-11 22:23 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Narcotics-possession-marijuana
W. Marshall Road @ Shadeland Ave. – After monitoring a call for Upper Darby Police of a black male who attempted to enter a person’s vehicle and possibly having a hand gun in the 69th street area. The suspect vehicle was described as a silver 4 door vehicle and the suspect was wearing a white and blue stripped baggy shirt.

At approximately 2220 hours this officer observed silver 4 door vehicle and began to follow same. The vehicle was operated by a black male wearing what appeared to be a blue and white stripped hoody. This officer did conduct a vehicle stop. The driver/offender had a suspended license. As the offender stepped from the vehicle, visible in his front left pocked of the hoody was a sandwich bag containing what appeared to be green leafy vegetable matter. While placing the offender in custody another baggie contained what appeared to be green leafy vegetable matter. The offender stated he had one smaller bag containing marijuana in his right front pocket. Observed in the rear seat was a baggy green and white tipped shirt. The offender’s vehicle was towed and he was taken into custody. Did advise Upper Darby Police of our arrest. The offender will be charged appropriately.

03-23-11 21:40 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Theft-$200 & over-from buildings
100 block Green Ave. (PWHS) – The victim reported her cell phone had been stolen while she was in the gym at PWHS. The cell phone is a red T-Mobile My touch, 3G phone costing approximately $300.00.

03-16-11 01:26 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Driving under the influence – alcohol
N. Lansdowne & E. Plumstead Aves. – Police were dispatched to the intersection of N. Lansdowne & E. Plumstead Avenues for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival this officer was met by a white male who identified himself and claimed responsibility for the accident. While speaking with the offender this officer observed him to be unstable on his feet and emanating an odor of alcoholic beverage. The offender submitted to a breathalyzer test which he failed. The offender was taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.

03-17-11 19:00 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Burglary-forced entry-residence- day
200 block W. Albemarle Ave. – The victim reports that while his family was out of the residence unknown actors entered and removed several items from the home. Most items were taken from the basement. Investigation to continue.
