Police activity week of 03-17-14 through 03-23-14
03-17-14 10:57 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary-attempt-residence-night
200 block W. Albemarle Ave. – The victim reports that sometime overnight unknown actor(s) attempted to enter her garage. There were pry marks on the right side of the garage door and someone lifted the door off the ground until the locking system would not allow it to lift anymore. Nothing was taken. Cost to repair the lock approximately $100.00.
03-18-14 12:16 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Assault-domestic related
Police responded to a 911 hang up. On arrival a domestic dispute had occurred between a male and a female. The female was taken to the hospital. A warrant will be completed for the male offender.
03-19-14 12:16 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft- under $50
100 block Drexel Ave. – The victim came to headquarters to report that sometime in the last two days a wrought iron flag holder and St. Patrick’s Day flag were removed from the front lawn by unknown persons. The victim inquired about recent similar thefts, she was advised it was most likely a scrapper who wanted the metal.
03-19-14 16:47 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft- $50 to $200- retail theft
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – Dispatched to CVS for a retail theft in progress. A black male in his 30’s in the personal hygiene aisle putting bottles of body wash inside his jacket. While enroute DELCOM broadcast that the male was leaving the store in a silver vehicle. The vehicle was described as green Mercury, with Pa registration. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located in the area or at the address where it was registered. The store manager reported multiple bottles of various brands of body wash were taken.
03-22-1401:01 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Disorderly conduct
Unit block Elberon Ave. – Three offender’s were cited for disorderly conduct as a result of fight at a drinking party. All persons were dispersed from the party.
