Police activity week of 03-14-11 through 03-20-11
03-14-11 10:35 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Criminal mischief to automobiles
100 block Midway Ave. – The victim reports vandalism to his 1998 GMC Yukon. The vehicle was parked in front of his residence on Saturday 3-12 and he did not use the vehicle until Monday. He noticed red spray paint on his driver side left front rim and tire. There is no permanent dame to the car and the victim was confident that he would be able to remove the small amount of paint. He wanted the incident documented however, because it appeared some of the other cars on his block had red paint on them as well.
03-14-11 16:48 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Burglary-forced entry-residence- day
100 block Bartram Ave. – Burglary-entry made through front window off of porch. Shotgun and Playstation 3 stolen along with approximately twenty Playstation games.
03-16-11 22:15 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Public drunkenness
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Received a call for an intoxicated male walking west on Baltimore Avenue. This officer observed the offender, who appeared to be very visibly intoxicated, having difficulty walking straight, several times staggering from one side of the sidewalk to the other, and almost falling into the street several times. The offender was taken into custody, transported to headquarters and placed in the cell to wait sobriety. He was issued a citation for public drunkenness.
03-17-11 10:18 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis -Theft- $200 & over-from buildings
Unit block W. Plumstead Ave. – The victim stated her daughter is out of control and stole money and a cell phone from her. A juvenile petition will be filed on the offender.
03-18-11 08:47 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Disorderly conduct
100 block Green Ave. (PWHS) – Police were dispatched to PWHS for a report of three offenders in custody in the office for a fight that had just occurred. All three offenders were transported to police headquarters, cited for disorderly conduct and released to parents or guardians.
03-18-11 11:12 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Criminal mischief
100 block Austin Ave. – The victim came to police headquarters to report damage to her vehicle, two scratches on the hood, and damage to her brick wall in front of her residence. Total damage estimate of $1,300.00.
03-18-11 15:16 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Harassment
Unit block E. Stewart Ave. – The victim came to police headquarters to report she had received a harassing text message from an actor, the victim allowed me to read the text. I advised the victim that this officer would file a summary citation for harassment and the actor would receive a subpoena to appear in court.
