Police activity week of 03-12-12 through 03-18-12
03-12-12 07:00 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Criminal mischief
Scottdale Rd. – The reporting party states that while taking his usual morning walk he noticed that the light was on in the men’s bathroom underneath the pavilion. Upon his observation he noticed the bathroom door had been pried open. Upon entering the bathroom he observed the bathroom sink and urinals had been smashed off of the wall. This officer did observe the damage and took several digital photographs.
03-12-12 02:03 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Curfew law-juvenile male
N. Maple & Midway Aves. – Officer’s were in the area of the Pantry One investigating a report of a suspicious person and or vehicle. This officer observed the offender in the area. After investigation it was found that the juvenile was missing from Philadelphia. The juvenile will be cited for curfew violation and returned to his mother in southwest Philadelphia.
03-13-12 12:49 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft-under $50
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – The victim stated that a purple Lean Cuisine insulated lunch bag was stolen from an manila envelope addressed to her. The victim discovered the empty manila envelope in the mail room on today’s date.
03-13-12 17:20 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan -Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
100 block Lansdowne Ct. – On going investigation, incomplete at this time.
03-14-12 14:15 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Disorderly conduct
100 block Green Ave. – PWHS-Received a call to the PWHS for threats not in progress. Spoke with school security. The victim (security officer) stated he was standing in the street, in front of the high school performing traffic control. The victim stated the school buses had their flashing red lights activated and their stop signs out so no vehicle should have been passing the buses. The victim stated the offender drove past at least six buses, all with lights flashing and stop signs out, before the victim was able to stop the offender’s vehicle. The victim stated the offender yelled out his car window “Keep your ass out of the street. I pay taxes here and I will run you the f-k over”! This was witnessed by the Principal. Spoke to the offender who believed he did nothing wrong. The offender will be cited for harassment and motor vehicle violations.
03-15-12 16:15 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – MV theft-autos-all other parking lots
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – the victim parked his 2000 Cadillac Deville in a parking lot in rear of unit block of S. Lansdowne Avenue at 06:30 hours today’s date. Upon leaving the building the victim discovered his vehicle was missing.
03-16-12 02:55 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Public Drunkenness
200 block Scottdale Rd. – While on patrol this officer observed a subject stomping and waving his arms in a dark area on the grass in front of the listed location. The subject was stopped and asked if he was okay. The subject stated he was. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was on his breath and person. The subject/offender was issued a portable breath test which he failed. He received a citation for public drunkenness and driven to his residence.
03-17-12 13:07 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Assaults – simple
100 block Austin Ave. – The victim and witness report that the offender did come to their residence loudly banging on the door. When the victim opened the door, and after a brief verbal argument, the offender grabbed the victim around the neck. The witness had to then separate the offender from the victim. The offender was taken into custody to be charged appropriately.
03-18-12 02:09 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Public Drunkenness/Disorderly conduct
S. Wycombe Ave. – Police responded to a large melee on the highway. Several offenders were taken into custody and all will be charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
03-18-12 16:42 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Assaults-simple
Unit block S. Maple Ave. – Dispatched to a domestic, two sisters fighting. Charges forthcoming.
03-18-12 21:56 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Criminal mischief
200 block E. Essex Ave. – Unknown actors threw a brick through the victims’ bedroom window striking him the abdominal area. Victim transported to ER for evaluation. Approximate cost of window $150.00
