Police activity week of 02-28-11 through 03-06-11

02-28-11 10:13 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft $200 & over
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. (CVS) – The victim reports that on Thursday February 24th, he entered the CVS store and purchased items with his bank card. He states on Sunday February 27th he discovered his bank card missing. Upon checking with his bank he discovered $262.87 worth of unauthorized transactions from his checking account with that card. The victim did not give anyone permission to use the card. The bank card has been canceled. On 3-1-11 this officer went to CVS to retrieve the video surveillance discs for the dates in question. The store manager was unavailable and would be in the following day. Investigation to continue.


03-01-11 08:00 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – All other-threats
Unit block Rigby Ave. – The victim came to police headquarters with a valid PFA order. This order prevents the defendant from having verbal contact with the victim. Since receiving the order the defendant had not ceased to call and harass the victim by phone several times a day, every day. While completing her written statement the defendant called the victim three times on her cell phone. On one of these occasions this officer advised the defendant he was in violation of the PFA and not to call the victim. The victim is in fear for her safety.

On 2-28-11 a person who identified himself as the defendant called the police station. He told this officer police would never catch him and he was not afraid of any court order. The defendant continues to harass the victim and the victim is keeping a log of all calls. A warrant has been issued for the defendant.


03-01-11 09:10 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft-under $50 from auto
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports loose change missing from her vehicles center console. There were no signs of forced entry; however the victim stated that the doors automatically lock on the vehicle when she exits.


03-01-11 16:14 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Disorderly conduct
S. Lansdowne Ave. – Police received a report of two black males attempting to gain entry into vehicles parked at the Lansdowne Train Station. This officer stopped both offenders. One offender did admit that he was attempting to gain access into the vehicles. The other offender denied having anything to do with what the 1st offender was doing. Both offenders were placed into custody and returned to headquarters where they were issued citations. Both offenders were provided a ride to their residences and released to their mothers.


03-02-11 12:42 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft-$200 & over-from auto
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – Victim states while in CVS store unknown offenders broke out the window of her vehicle and stole her handbag. The victim states there were two black males in the parking lot that looked suspicious prior to her entering the store. Will retrieve the store surveillance footage. The victim was advised to contact her bank and have her credit/debit cards deactivated.

The victim contacted this office approximately 14:40 hours stating someone had attempted to use her mother’s credit cards in Philadelphia.


03-05-11 03:49 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Drug equipment violations
Unit block Nyack Ave. – Police received a call for an assault victim. Further information was that it was domestic related assault between a male and a female. On scene spoke to the female and male involved. Both were combatants. While on scene found in the apartment was drug paraphernalia. The offender will be charged for drug equipment violations.
