Police activity week of 02-04-13 through 02-10-13
02-05-13 10:41 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Burglary-no force-residence-unknown n time
Unit block Nyack Ave. – Responded to a call for Lansdowne Borough Code Enforcement for an open door a vacant property. On inspection of the interior it was discovered that cooper piping had been removed from the property.
02-05-13 19:41 hours – Ptl. C. Craig -Theft- $200 & over from auto
200 block N. Wycombe Ave. – The complaint ant reports that someone had broken into his vehicle while is was parked behind his residence. Missing from the vehicle was the JVC car stereo with a detachable faceplate and also a Sony sub woofer and Kenwood amplifier. The victim was notified of the theft.
02-06-13 10:17 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- $50 to $200
100 block E. Stewart Ave. – The victim reports her 9mm hand gun taken while she was living in an apartment with her ex-boyfriend and another man. The victim now lives with her mother. The victim suspects her ex-boyfriend of the theft. Investigation will continue.
02-06-13 21:11 hours – Ptl. S. Nick – Theft- $200 & over
Bartram Ave. – The victim reports while walking his girlfriend home he put his back pack down along the side of the path with his skateboard and continued to walk his girlfriend home. When he returned approximately five minutes later, the contents of his bag had been dumped out next to the skateboard. The bag and a black 15″ Lenovo laptop were missing.
02-07-13 01:06 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Burglary-attempt- residence – night
100 block S. Lansdowne Ave. – Dispatched to location for a burglary attempt that had just occurred. The actor last seen running north on Lansdowne toward Baltimore. The victim heard someone attempting to open the bedroom window. He went to the window and saw a chubby faced black male, dressed all in black opening the window. The male ran upon seeing the victim. No entry gained.
02-09-13 12:52 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Robbery-strong arm-bank
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Dispatched received a 911 call from the Wells Fargo Bank. The alarm company reported receiving a hold up alarm from the bank. The actor was described by the teller as being a black male wearing a blue puffy coat, with a fur lined hood and a red white and blue baseball cap. The actor did flee the bank in an unknown direction. This case has been referred to the Detective Division.
02-08-13 15:12 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Disorderly conduct
100 block Green Ave. (PWHS) – The Assistant Principal, the complaint, reported that earlier this morning the offender, a student at the high school, was caught with a small baggie of suspected marijuana. The complaint reported that the offender was confronted by his teacher about it and the offender dumped the suspected marijuana out the window. The offender will be cited via the mail for disorderly conduct.
02-09-13 14:13 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- $200 & over bicycles
200 block w. Plumstead Ave. – The victim stated he just discovered his white women’s Raleigh Venture with black saddle bags over a rear rack was stolen from his shed. The shed was not locked.
02-09-13 14:20 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft- $200 & over bicycles
200 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded to a report of three stolen bikes. All were taken from the back of the residence. The victim’s son reported that he observed two black males in the rear area of his yard with a bike that belonged to his neighbor. Investigation to continue.
02-09-13 15:11 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft $50 to $200 bicycles
Unit block W. Plumstead Ave. – the victim reported that both their bikes were missing from the rear of their yard. This theft may be connected to previous bike theft.
