Police activity week of 02-03-14 through 02-09-14

02-04-1409:00 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- $200 & over from auto
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – The victim reports he discovered a large rock propped up under the rear passenger side of his 2003 silver Mercedes Benz. The passenger side rear tire and rim had been stolen.


02-05-1402:08 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Disorderly conduct
100 block W. Albemarle Ave. – Police responded to a disorderly subject banging at the doors. On arrival, the offender was outside the house making noise and trying to get the resident to let him in. He had been told by the resident and the police not to go to this address approximately one hour before this call. The offender was taken into custody and will be cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.


02-05-1416:26 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Murder-other-dangerous weapon
100 block E. Plumstead Ave. – Police received a report of a fall in the basement. On arrival located an 89 year old female at the bottom of the basement steps. Upon observing the scene the death was considered to be suspicious. There was no forced entry into the home. The Medical Examiner was notified, did respond to the scene and took custody of the body. On Saturday 2-8-14 the ME reports the case to be a homicide. This investigation will continue.


02-06-1419:26 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft- $200 & over from buildings
100 block Midway Ave. – The victim reports that sometime over the last week a Sgallon jug %full of quarters was removed from the basement of the home. There was no sign of forced entry.
