Police Blotter 02-12-18 to 02-18-18
PENN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL
On Monday, February 12, 2018, officers responded to the Penn Wood High School for a report of a fight. The fight was over before police arrived on scene. After viewing surveillance footage of the incident which showed the defendant walk into the school gym and begin punching the victim approximately ten times about the head and upper torso with closed fist. The victim received minor injuries consisting of scratches and contusions.
02/12/2018 11:00 THEFT OF FIREARM
EAST PLUMSTEAD AVE.
The victim reported that her firearm was stolen from her home sometime within the last three weeks. The victim did not know the make or model of the firearm and did not have the paperwork from when she purchased the firearm.
02/12/2018 11:44- THEFT FROM VEHICLE
The victim contacted the Lansdowne Police by phone to report his vehicle’s registration plate was stolen sometime over the weekend.
02/12/2018 15:54- ILLEGAL DUMPING
Police were dispatched to Windermere Ave for illegal dumping discovered. Upon arrival, officer made contact with the victim who stated that a pile of trash was dumped in the rear section of her yard backing up to Ardmore Ave.
02/13/2018 10:45- THEFT
Victim called the Lansdowne Police Station to report the theft of a package. She stated that she was notified that her package was delivered by UPS. She checked the lobby of both apartment buildings and the package was not there.
02/13/2018 18:01 THEFT FROM AUTO
WEST STRATFORD AVE.
Victim came to the Lansdowne Police Station to report a theft from vehicle. She stated unknown actor(s) entered her vehicle and took a gray tote bag which contained her Apple Mac Book Pro. She also stated that the vehicle was possibly unlocked.
02/13/2018 19:13-THEFT FROM BUILDING
Police were dispatched to Wayne Ave for a theft of a package discovered. Upon arrival, officer observed an opened package on the curb of Wayne Ave. The package was empty and addressed to the name of victim. Victim reported that she was expecting her package to be delivered today and when it did not come she checked the tracking number and discovered that it was delivered the day before.
02/14/2018 13:50- ASSAULT
Police responded to an assault. The defendants had reportedly been engaged in a physical fight. Both arrested.
02/14/2018 18:53- ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
WEST GREENWOOD AVE.
Police dispatched to a burglary that just occurred on W. Greenwood Ave. The suspect, who is known to the victim and police, fled on foot from the scene and alluded apprehension. Charges were filed.
SOUTH MAPLE AVE.
Officer responded to a walk up complaint at Lansdowne Police Headquarters for an assault that had occurred earlier in the day at on S. Maple Ave. After investigation, subject arrested and charged.
02/15/2018 16:27- CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
EAST ESSEX AVE.
Police responded to E. Essex Ave for the report of the burglary in progress. The caller was a juvenile who locked himself and his brothers in a second floor bedroom. Further information was that that they now heard glass breaking. On arrival it was discovered that a window on the back of the house had been shattered. Juvenile cited for vandalism.
02/16/2018 09:18- INDECENT EXPOSURE
PENN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL
While at the Penn Wood High School the school staff reported that an indecent exposure had occurred on Thursday February 15 2018 at approximately 12:40 hours. Subject arrested and charged.
02/16/2018 11:41 -BURGLARY
Lansdowne Police were dispatched to Eldon Ave for a burglary discovered. Upon arrival there was no forced entry made and appliances were taken. After further investigation, a suspect was identified and charged.
EAST BALTIMORE AVE
An adult male charged after using counterfeit US currency for purchases made at a local business.
