Police activity week of 01-30-12 through 02-05-12
01-30-12 23:25 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- under $50
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – the victim reports her wallet stolen out of a shopping cart at the Bottom Dollar Food Mart. The victim did cancel her credit cards. The victim was also provided with an identity theft packet.
02-01-12 11:30 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Theft-$200 & over from buildings
100 block Green Ave. (PWHS) – Responded to PWHS for report of a stolen cell phone. The guidance counselor reports her cell phone taken from her desk drawer. Phone is a black Apple I phone 4 estimated worth $400.00.
02-02-12 23:48 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Drive under the influence
N. Wycombe & Greenwood Aves. – Offender taken into custody after a vehicle stop. Offender did admit to smoking drugs. The offender was processed and will be charged appropriately.
02-03-12 18:20 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft under $50
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – The witness stated that she observed the suspect opening packages in the mail room of the complex. It was discovered that three packages were opened with items missing from the packages. Made contact with one of the victims who stated that there were items missing from his package. This officer will follow with the building manager for surv3illance footage of the mail room.
02-03-12 20:32 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Fraud-credit cards, ATM
100 block Midway Ave. -The victim states that her debit card had been used without her permission. Unknown person/s had purchased three games on the Playstation Network. The victim stated she just wanted to make a report.
02-04-12 11:50 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft $200 & over
200 block Windsor Ave. -The victim states that sometime between January 27th 2012 & January 31, 2012 her wallet was misplaced or stolen. She recently discovered someone fraudulently used her bank card. The victim already canceled the credit/debit card and this writer will provide the victim with an identity theft kit.
02-05-12 00:05 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Liquor law-underage-purchase, consumption, possession
100 block Berkley Ave. – Police received a call for a possible burglary. On arrival located the offender who appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The offender did admit to drinking. The offender was transported to his parents. While in the house the offender became very unruly and was again taken into custody and transported to headquarters and house in a cell until he sobered up enough to be released.
02-05-12 19:48 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Criminal Mischief
100 block Nyack Ave. – Reporting party stated a rock was thrown through the window. Did speak to all involved including the offenders. The offender’s parents agreed to split the cost of replacing the window.
02-05-12 22:37 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- under $50
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Another report of items missing from packages in the mail room of the apartment complex. This officer will follow up with the building manager to obtain surveillance footage.
