Police activity week of 01-28-13 through 02-03-13

01-28-13 17:30 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Burglary-no force-residence-day
Unit block N. Rigby Ave. – Victims returned home to find their residence had been burglarized. Missing from the home was jewelry and coins. Victim’s stated they are 99% sure all doors were locked. No forced entry was found.


01-28-13 19:51 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – MV theft – street-residential area
Unit block Nyack Ave. – The victim is a delivery driver for a Chinese restaurant in Darby Borough. He left his vehicle running while making a delivery this evening. After making the delivery he was walking back to his vehicle when he observed someone driving his vehicle west on Nyack Ave. Police patrolled the area for the vehicle with negative results.


01-30-13 13:02 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Criminal mischief
Unit block Price Ave. – Police and Code Enforcement officers responded to a call of unauthorized work being done at the victims residence. On arrival four men had been paving a driveway without the victims permission or authorization. One of the subjects was arrested and the other four will be issued citations buy the police and code enforcement.


01-31-13 00:38 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – MV theft-autos-street
100 block Windsor Ave. – Victim stated she parked her vehicle in from of the address overnight. She noticed the vehicle was missing today. Victim stated the keys were in the vehicle, but the vehicle was locked. The stolen vehicle was recovered after receiving a call for a hit and run in the 200 block N. Maple Avenue. The victim was notified of the recovery.


02-02-13 05:15 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Assault
Unit block E. Plumstead Ave. – Responded to a call of a physical fight in progress. On scene located the offender on the victim’s back punching her and pulling her hair. The offender was advised to get off the victim and step back. The offender got off victim and lunged at this officer. The offender was subdued and taken into custody. The offender will be charged appropriately.


02-02-13 17:56 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Disorderly conduct
Unit block Owen Ave. – Received complaint that whenever the reporting party had company the upstairs neighbor jumps up and down on the floor. This was confirmed by another tenant in the building. This officer had taken a previous disturbance complaint at this address in which the offender was warned that future complaints about the same kind of conduct could result in citations being issued. The offender will receive a citation for disorderly conduct.
