Police activity week of 01-17-11 through 01-23-11

01-17-11 06:08 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Burglary-forced entry-nonresidence-night
100 block E. Plumstead Ave. – Police responded to the Pantry One store and made contact with the owners. The owners stated that they did not enter the store yet, however noticed that the store shelf near the store window was moved and that the case that contained lottery tickets were missing. Police entered the store; no one was in the store. Missing from the store were lottery tickets, three PA state lottery computer monitors, undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes. Entry was made through the rear of the store. Police will view the surveillance tapes and investigation to continue.


01-17-10 14:27 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Burglary-no force-residence-day
Unit block Nyack Ave. – The reporting party called on behalf of her landlord. She reports her apartment building was vandalized abound 10am. The RP heard banging on the pipes in the basement area and thought the landlord had someone working on the building. She then heard water running fro awhile. The landlord left work and responded to that property. He discovered that the cooper water popes in the basement had been cut. The landlord will call police with an estimate cost of the damage and loss. Investigation to continue.


01-19-11 14:25 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Disorderly conduct
N. Union @ Wycombe Ave. – Police responded for report of a large group getting ready to fight. On location this officer did observe two black males begin to engage in a physical confrontation. One offender was apprehended; the other offender fled the scene. Offender was cited for disorderly conduct.


01-20-11 00:07 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft- $200 & over – from buildings
200 block Windermere Ave. – The victim rents a room at the property and reports that $3,226.00 is missing from his room.
