Police activity week of 01-13-14 through 01-19-14

01-13-1421:55 hours – pt!. L. Albertoli – MV theft-autos – street – commercial area
200 Congress Ave. – The victim reports his 2003 Chevrolet Impala taken from the street outside of his work. The victim states he is the only one with a key and did not give anyone else permission to take the vehicle. The victim also reported the vehicle was locked. There is a key along with the vehicle registration and drivers license inside the vehicle. The vehicle was entered in NCIC.

01-16-1416:45 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Disorderly conduct
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – Police responded for a report of a domestic involving a father and son. On arrival ,made contact with the father. The father reports that he and his wife have been having problems with their foster son. The son/offender had a girl over to the house while the parents were not home. Police tried to talk to the son to no avail. The offender tried to run out of the house and was stopped by police. The offender, due to his combative behavior, was taken into custody, cited for disorderly conduct and released to his mother.

01-16-1418:35 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Burglary-forced entry – residence- day
100 block S. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports entry was made into her apartment through a kitchen window. Missing from the residence was several items of jewelry.

01-16-1418:38 hours – pt!. C. Schiazza – Robbery-armed-firearm- mise
100 block e. Plumstead Ave. – Responded to Peppers Pharmacy for a robbery alarm. On arrival the victims reports that a black male had just robbed the store. The offender did display a handgun. Taken from the pharmacy were various medications. This investigation will continue.

01-17-1413:28 hours – ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft- $200 & over
200 block Owen Ave. – The victim paid a contractor $8,416.00 to install flooring in their residence. The contractor took the money and never returned to do the job.

01-19-1416:57 hours – Ptl. P. Young – All others-contempt of court
Unit block Nyack Ave. – Police responded for a domestic. The mother states she had a valid PFA against her daughter. The daughter/offender was present in the residence. The mother did produce the valid PFA. The offender was taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.

01-18-1423:58 hours – Pt!. L. Albertoli – Curfew law
Berkley & Windermere Aves. – The juvenile was noticed walking on the street after curfew. The juvenile stated he fell asleep at his girlfriend’s house, woke up late and was on his way home. Officer transported the juvenile home to his aunt. The juvenile has no previous contacts with police for curfew and was issued a warning.

01-19-1420:28 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Assault-knife or cutting instrument
Unit block S. Wycombe Ave. – Offender taken into custody after being involved in a physical domestic dispute. While in the residence drugs and drug paraphernalia were found. The offender will be charged appropriately.
