Police activity week of 01-10-11 through 01-16-11

01-12-11 15:58 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Murder-other dangerous weapon
Unit block s. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded to a call for an unconscious subject. While enroute dispatch informed us that the ambulance was now enroute to the scene. Victim was located in the apartment, not breathing and unresponsive. The Medics pronounced the victim deceased. Due to the suspicious nature of the death detectives were asked to respond to the scene. Investigation to continue

01-14-11 20:14 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Theft-$200 & over-all other
100 block W. Essex Ave. -The victim reported that unknown actors removed the cooper downspouts & gutters from rear and side of her residence. The victim reported a similar theft of downspouts & gutter that were located on the front of her residence in November 2010.

01-15-11 02:30 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Other assaults-not aggravated
100 block E. Stewart Ave. – this officer while in the Wawa store was approached by the victim. The victim stated she was assaulted at her home. The offender was with the victim in the store. The victim had visible bruises and marks on the left side of her neck and shoulder area. The offender was taken into custody processes and held overnight for arraignment in the morning.

01-15-10 02:20 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Drive under influence
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – While this officer was investigating a domestic dispute at the Wawa store the offender was viewed inside the store exhibiting glassy and bloodshot eyes, a strong odor of alcohol could be smelled emanating from her breath and person. The offender entered a Silver Ford and was viewed in the driver’s seat with her seatbelt secured and the vehicle running. The offender was asked to exit the vehicle and administered a PBT test which she failed. The offender was taken into custody and her vehicle was towed. The offender will be appropriately charged.

01-15-11 00:48 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Burglary-forced entry-residence-night
Unit block W. Marshall Rd. – The victim stated she left her home secured & intact at approximately 1730 hours today. When she returned she discovered that an unknown actor/s had entered the apartment and rifled through the kitchen, both bedrooms and the living room closet. Missing from the apartment- $2,000, Dell Inspiron laptop with charger. A window located in the second bedroom was slightly ajar and the screen appeared to have been cut. Investigation to continue

10-15-10 15:35 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – burglary-forced-entry- residence-unknown time
200 block Wabash Ave. – Police received a report of a burglary discovered. The victim advised the property is up for sale and someone had broken the realtors lock box and opened the front door with the key. Copper was removed from the 2nd floor bathroom, kitchen, basement and garage. Investigation to continue.
