01/15/2018 15:56- PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS
WYCOMBE AVE.

While on patrol, officer saw a man walking on the Septa railroad tracks westbound towards S. Wycombe Ave. A pedestrian stop was conducted and there was the odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath and person. He was taken into custody and housed until sober.


01/15/2018 15:09 -RETAIL THEFT
UNIT BLK EAST BALTIMORE AVE.

Police responded to a theft, just occurred. Complainant observed the man enter the store and stated that the man matched the description of other thefts in the past few months. She stated that the man took cleaning products off the shelf in one area and put them in his coat pockets. Merchandise valued over $100.


01/16/2018 21:22- DISORDERLY CONDUCT
PENN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL

While Officers were on duty in uniform monitoring a varsity basketball game between Penn Wood High School and Academy Park High School, a fight broke out on the basketball court between the players on the basketball teams. Spectators from the bleachers then exited the bleachers and joined in the fight. I An estimated 50 to a 100 people were involved in the fight. One adult male was arrested for Disorderly Conduct for his involvement in the fight. An attempt will be made to review the video surveillance from the high school gym so participants of the fight can be identified and charged accordingly.

SOUTH MAPLE AVE.

Police were dispatched to S. Maple Ave., for a report of a verbal domestic involving two males. After further investigation, both were arrested for disorderly conduct.


01/17/2018 22:35- BLACKMAIL/EXTORTION
EAST BALTIMORE AVE

Complainant came to the police station to report an extortion attempt. This occurred when he befriended someone on SKYPE. This subject attempted to blackmail the complainant after having “cyber sex”. Investigation continues.


01/18/2018 22:52-DISORDERLY CONDUCT
PENN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL

While working the security detail at the Penn Wood/Chester basketball game, officer observed the juvenile offender refusing to pay the entry fee to enter the game. The offender was advised several times by school staff that if he did not pay he would have to exit the gym. The offender repeatedly refused to pay the entry fee and would not leave the gym. The juvenile was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.

100 BLK. OWEN AVE.

Comp. reported that the dog in the rear of Owen Ave. had been barking for about an hour. He reported that it is an ongoing problem and he thought the dog was left out in the cold. Investigation resulted in dog owner being cited.


01/19/2018 00:59- DUI
HANSELL/POWELTON AVE.

One vehicle accident at Hansell/Powelton. The driver was transported to Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital by Ambulance and will be charged with DUI and drug possession.


01/20/2018 08:32- THEFT FROM VEHICLE
100 BLK. SHADELAND AVE.

Police responded to a theft discovered. On arrival victim reported that unknown actor(s) entered his vehicle. He stated that the vehicle was possibly left unlocked. Taken were a wrist watch, approximately $8 worth of US coins, and his wallet. He stated that the wallet contained numerous credit cards, cash, and his PA driver’s license.

200 BLK. OWEN AVE.

Police responded to Owen Ave. for a driver passed out inside a vehicle. Upon arrival at this location, officers found a vehicle on the front lawn of a residence with the driver and passenger asleep inside the vehicle. The driver was transported to the hospital due to the fact that he was so intoxicated he was unable to stand. Charges will be filed.
