Police activity week of 08-31-09 through 09-06-09

08-31-09 18:49 Hours – Ptl T. Selimis – theft-$50 -$200-Auto Parts & Accessories
200 block Berkley Ave. – Received a call for stolen tags. On police arrival this officer made contact with the victim, he stated his Delaware tag was stolen from his 2004 Cadillac Deville. The victim also observed the driver side of his vehicle keyed.


08-02-09 20:05 Hours – Ptl. K. Kienzle – Robbery-Strong Arm
11 block E. Baltimore Ave. – Juvenile victim was robbed on the street of his 26 inch Mongoose bike. The actors were described as four black males.


09-04-09 00:42 Hours – Ptl. K. Kienzle – Assault-Hands, Fists, Feet
E. Stewart & N. Highland Aves. – Police responded to an assault. The incident occurred on board SEPTA bus#5859, the route 113. The victim stated that he was assaulted by a man who got off the bus and ran eastbound on E. Stewart Ave. The victim was trying to control bleeding from his mouth and nose. The attack was unprovoked; the actor hit the victim several times and kicked the victim when he fell to the floor of the bus. The victim was transported to University of Penn by Ambulance 19 due to the severity of his condition. Despite the bus being more than half full, none of the other passengers would cooperate as witnesses. The description of the actor given by the witness is a light skinned black male, 20’s, 6′ tall, medium build, thin facial hair. The actor was wearing blue jeans, white t-shirt and a black Rocawear jacket. Investigation to continue.


09-04-09 12:56 Hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Public Drunkenness
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Police dispatched for respiratory distress and a possible panic attack. On police arrival the actor stated she was getting dressed and approximately 3 minutes later opened the door with her dress over her head and she was trying to get her head through the arm hole of the dress. The actor was unsteady on her feet and was asked if she had been drinking to which she responded yes. The actor became aggressive towards police and began yelling and cursing. The actor refused to cooperate with police or Medics and was taken into custody. She will be charged with public drunkenness.


09-05-09 01:31 Hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft-Attempted-From Auto
200 block W. Plumstead Ave. – A black male reportedly attempted to enter the victim’s vehicle. The victim reported that she was at the back window when she noticed the motion light over the common drive go on. She saw a tall, possibly a teenager, opening her car door. The vehicle was left unlocked. The victim came outside to investigate and the actor fled. Nothing taken from the vehicle.


09-05-09 07:24 Hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft-Under $50 From Auto
The victim stated that loose change had been taken from both of his unlocked vehicles. Both vehicles were parked behind the victim house.


09-05-09 10:03 Hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft-$50 to $200 from Auto
Unit block W. Greenwood Ave. – Victims vehicle was ransacked and change was taken. Victim could not recall if she had locked her vehicle.


09-05-09 11:16 Hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft-$200 & Over from Auto
100 block w. Plumstead Ave. – Victims unlocked vehicle was ransacked and taken were a Nextel phone and I-Pod and earrings. Value approximately $650.00


09-05-09 15:05 Hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft-Under $50 from Auto
100 block W. Plumstead Ave. – The victim’s unlocked vehicle was ransacked and approximately $5.00 in change was taken.


09-05-09 15:59 Hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft-Under $50 From Auto
11 block W. Plumstead Ave. – The victim’s vehicle was ransacked and approximately $4.00 in change was taken. Victim stated she is not sure if she locked her vehicle.
