08-17-09 10:36 Hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Criminal Mischief To Automobiles
200 block Wabash Ave. – Victim reports that she discovered that someone had sliced her right front passenger side tire of her Hyundai Sonata sometime overnight while it was parked on the street. There are no known witnesses to this offense.
08-18-09 03:10 Hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Drive Under Influence
Owen Ave. – While on patrol observed a silver Buick Regal traveling west on W. Marshall Road. The vehicle could be heard from a distance away because it was being driven on two flat tires, both the front and rear tires were flat. The vehicle was stopped and the operator was observed to have glassy eyes, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and persona and his speech was slurred. The defendant did give this officer false information as to his name and date of birth. The defendant was taken into custody and processed. The defendant has active bench warrant out of Philadelphia. It is requested the defendant be held without bail until contact can be made with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
08-18-09 16:33 Hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft-Under $50 From Auto
100 block N. Wycombe Ave. – Victims’ unlocked 2006 Kia Sorento was entered and missing from vehicle is about $10 in coins and two gift cards. The vehicle was parked in the driveway.
08-23-09 03:15 Hours – Ptl T. Selimis – Drug Equipment Violations
Unit block W. Stratford Ave. – This officer stopped a suspicious white male covered in sweat from head to toe. The defendant was advised of recent vehicle break-ins in the area and the defendant gave this officer consent to search him. Located on the defendants person was 1 Garmin Street Pilot c330 gps . a car charger and w window mounts. Also on his person, which fell out of his boot was a glass tube containing broil and a gray residue. The defendant was taken into custody.
08-23-09 05:10 Hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Driving Under the Influence
200 block W. Baltimore Ave. – While this officer was speaking with a person on the 200 block of W. Baltimore, this officer observed a vehicle, unrelated to the subject I was speaking to, driving slowly with no headlights on and only parking lights. This officer approached the red Toyota Corolla and observed a male sitting in the driver’s seat with the keys in the ignition and running and with his eyes closed. There was a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on the defendants’ person along with glassy blood shot eyes. The defendant had no identification and had three unopened bottles of Seagram’s wine coolers in the vehicle. The defendant was taken into custody, processed and house at Lansdowne Police Station.
08-223-09 04:50 Hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Disorderly Conduct
200 block W. Baltimore Ave. – Police were dispatched for suspicious black male trying to get into an apartment. Located the defendant who claimed he was locked out of his apartment and needed to get in for the night. The defendant was patted down and a small glassine baggie with a green vegetable matter was in the defendant’s right side shorts pocket. The defendant was placed under arrest transported to police headquarters and received citations for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was then released. The vegetable matter was field tested and tested positive for marijuana.
08-23-09 15:38 Hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft-Under $50 – Retail Theft
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave (Rite-Aid) -Police dispatched to Rite Aid for shop lifter. ON scene located the store loss prevention officer speaking with a white female. The loss prevention observed the white female enter the store and remove a box of Garnier Nurtisse Nourishing Crème from the shelf and attempt to exit the store without paying for the item. The defendant also had in her purse other merchandise that had not been paid for. The defendant was taken into to custody and will be charged with retail theft. The defendant had previous charges for retail theft.
