Police activity week of 08-10-09 through 08-16-09

08-10-09 17:26 Hours – Ptl. K. Kienzle – Theft-$200 & Over-Auto Accessories
Unit block S. Rigby Ave. – Police responded to a theft from vehicle. The victim states that sometime between 1230 hours and 1730 hours unknown actors entered his Ford and took the Pioneer radio/CD player. The victim stated the vehicle was locked.


08-11-09 23:23 Hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Theft-$200 & Over-From Auto
100 block Walsh Road – the victim states she parked her vehicle in front of her residence. The victim left her Marc Jacobs handbag inside her 200 Honda Accord. Her step-father heard glass smashing outside the residence. The victim went out to her vehicle and found the passenger door window smashed and her handbag missing. Advised the victim to cancel any credit cards.


08-12-09 07:41 Hours 0 Ptl. M. Mugler – Criminal mischief to Automobiles
200 block Crawford Ave. – The victim reports his 2005 Chevy Trailblazer was parked overnight in front of his house. This morning he noticed a key scratch on the passenger side, the damage ran from the front of the car down the entire side of the vehicle. Another vehicle was also damaged.


08-12-09 08:00 Hours – Ptl. L. Doyle – Theft-Under $50 From Auto
Unit block Walsh Road – Victims vehicle was ransacked and change was taken.


08-12-09 15:15 Hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft-Under $50-Retail Theft
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – Received a call for a retail theft that just occurred from the CVS. Store clerk reported a thin white male wearing black jeans, black t-shirt, tan work boots and a black hat with “LA” in white had just stole cold sore medicine from the store. The actor was last seen on a maroon mountain bike, riding north on N. Wycombe Ave. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate the subject.


08-12-09 23:50 Hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Underage drinking, curfew
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Observed 2 females running east on West Baltimore Avenue and disappear behind a building. Officers eventually located the two juvenile females. Both juveniles had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on or about their person. The girls did admit to having 2 drinks/beers. Both juveniles returned to police headquarters. The incident was handled in the department and parents were notified to pick up their children.


08-14-09 09:04 Hours- Ptl. C. Schiazza – Burglary-Attempt-Residence
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – Victim stated he discovered a hole in the window screen to the kitchen window of his apartment. The victim states that there has been a suspicious white male staying with the first floor tenant. Advised the victim to contact the landlord and advise him of the broken screen so it can be repaired.


08-14-09 12:38 Hours – Ptl C. Brown – theft-$50 to $200 – Retail Theft
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. (Rite Aid) Report of theft in progress. On officers arrival the witness advised that t a juvenile black female was inside the store and was viewed putting numerous items inside her pocketbook. As the offender exited the store, she was positively identified by the witness and placed under arrest.


08-15-09 16:30 Hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft-$200 & Over-From Building
100 block E. Stewart Ave. – the victim reported his WII Game system was missing from the living room in his apartment. The victim suspects the white male tenant who lives on the second floor. the victim thinks that while the male was visiting he took the game system. The suspect lives with his girlfriend and according to the victim is a heroin addict. Investigation to continue.
