Police activity week of 06-29-09 through 7-05-09

06-30-09 11:15 Hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Disorderly Conduct
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. (Delarc Thrift Shop) – Responded to report of unwanted subject. On location found the offender outside of the business. This officer spoke with the reporting party who states that the offender is constantly causing problems in the store and he is continuously leaving his personal belongings all over the store, as well as outside next to this business. The offender was taken into custody and issued a citation for disorderly conduct. Sgt. Donegan did provide an outstanding warrant on the offender. The offender was transported Upper Darby District Court. The Judge advised the offender to stay out of Lansdowne and released him without bail.


06-30-09 14:40 Hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Theft-Under $50 – From Auto
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – The victim called to report a stolen license plate taken from her 1992 Dodge Caravan. Report completed and missing plate was entered into NCIC.


07-01-09 21:37 Hours – Sgt. McCaughan – Narcotics-Possession
100 block Nyack Ave. – Offender arrested on warrant out of Philadelphia, for drug violation while placing offender #1 under arrest, offender#2 attempted to interfere in the arrest and he was arrested for simple harassment. Both offenders transported to police headquarters.


07-02-09 00:23 Hours – Sgt. McCaughan – Disorderly Conduct
S. Lansdowne Ave-Lansdowne Train Station – Offender was causing a disturbance on the train and when police were called to the scene the offender fled. The offender was located and arrested for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was returned to police headquarters, processed and released to his wife.


07-02-09 00:23 Hours – Sgt. McCaughan – Disorderly Conduct

The offender was located and arrested for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was returned to police headquarters, processed and released to his wife.


07-02-09 16:00 Hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Burglary -Residence
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – The victim states his property was burglarized, no forced entry. Taken from the property, stainless steel Hot Point refrigerator and stainless steel General Electric or Frigidaire electric oven.


07-02-09 17:50 Hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza -Theft under $50-Retail Theft
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Offender arrest for theft of a change purse from the Rite Aid store. Offender processed and issued a citation for retail theft.


07-02-09 19:42 Hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Assault-Hands, Fists, Feet
200 block Wabash Ave. – Victim stated her ex-husband did assault her in her home. The offender stated he came over to pick up belongings. The offender has an active Protection from Abuse order against him. The offender was transported to police headquarters. The offender was charged with assault and contempt of court order. The victim was transported to the hospital to treat her injuries.


07-03-09 21:57 Hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Liquor Law -Underage Drinking
100 block Glentay Ave. – Call for fight in progress in the street. On police arrival the combatants had dispersed. Two persons involved in the altercation were stopped on the street. Both offenders were charged with underage drinking and released to their mothers.


07-04-09 14:53 Hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Assault-Knife or Cutting instrument
Unit block E. Greenwood Ave. – Police were dispatched to the Lansdowne Fire Company for a report of a subject on location indicating she stabbed her boyfriend and drove him to the hospital. Offenders were involved in a domestic disputed that turned physical, the male offender was choking the female and the female stabbed the male in the arm. The male offender was located at the hospital being treated for his wounds. Both offenders charged with assault.


07-05-09 15:37 Hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Burglary-Forced Entry – Residence
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – Victim discovered the screen to the rear bedroom had been removed and the lock on the sliding door had been tampered with. Missing from the property was an IPod and accessories. There is a suspect in this case. Case referred to the detectives.


07-06-09 13:15 Hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Criminal Mischief
100 block Ardmore Ave. – The principal of Ardmore Avenue School reported he discovered graffiti on the wall of the courtyard behind the school. This officer took several photos of the graffiti. The principal will have the graffiti removed.
