11-03-08 09:02 hours Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft $50 to $200 – From Auto
Unit Blk Windermere Ave. – Victims two unlocked vehicles were riffled through. $50 dollars missing from vehicles.


11-03-08 11:38 hours Ptl. K. Kienzle – Burglary-Forced Entry- Residence
100 Blk W. Baltimore Ave. – Victim called LPD to report damage to his property. Victim rents the property to a tenant that was arrested on Thursday. He does not know if tenant is responsible for damage or is victim of burglary. Victim/Property owner states contents of apartment, mostly high dollar value electronics have been taken. He also stated that between $2,000 & $4,000 worth of tolls have been stolen from storage in the basement.


11-03-08 12:35 hours Ptl. C. Brown – theft-Under $50 From Auto
Unit block E. Stewart Ave. – Victim reports theft of unknown amount of cash from inside his unlocked vehicle.


11-03-08 16:12 hours Ptl. K. Kienzle – Theft- Under $50 From Auto
100 Blk W. Stratford Ave. – Victim stated sometime overnight unknown actors entered and ransacked two unlocked vehicles in the driveway. Approximately $20 worth of loose coins and perhaps a few dollars were taken.


11-03-08 16:59 hours Ptl. C. Schiazza – Criminal Mischief-All Other
Unit Blk S. Union Ave. – Police Dispatched to Unit block of S. union for possible squatters in a vacant home. Code Enforcement Officer of Lansdowne Borough was on scene. Upper Darby Police originally dispatched to location, they check the building, no one inside. Property owner was contacted. Codes department left on scene to secure building.


11-03-08 18:17 hours Ptl. C. Schiazza – Criminal Mischief-All Other
Unit Blk S. Union Ave. – Code Enforcement Officer called to report that another vacant house on S. Union Avenue had broken windows. Code Enforcement thought that it was possible that people were squatting at this residence as well. No one located in home and it was in serious disrepair. Code Enforcement left on scene to secure building.


11-03-08 23:30 hours Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft $200 & Over from Buildings
100 Blk N. Wycombe Ave. – Victim reported his storage area was broken into sometime between 11-01-08 & 11-03-08. Hasp broken from padlock on garage door and opened the garage. Once inside actor/s stole nearly all the contents of the garage, primarily power tools. A couple of other garages were also entered but the owners have not been contact yet. Property owner will attempt to contact the owners.


11-03-08 20:15 hours Ptl. C. Craig – Theft- Attempted from Auto
100 Blk Marlyn Ave. – Unknown actor entered and riffled through victims’ vehicle. Victim states she usually locks the vehicle, but may not have locked it last night. Victim states nothing missing at this time.


11-04-08 11:00 hours Sgt. D. Donegan – Theft-$50-$200 from building
100 Blk N. Wycombe Ave. – Victim reports that he rents a garage in rear of 100 block of N. Wycombe and he was advised this morning by the owner that same was broken into. Appears the bottom portion of the door was kicked in allowing the actors to enter. Missing; 5 snow blowers as well as a salt spreader. These items are fairly large and would require some type of truck and or multiple trips.


11-05-08 09:10 Sgt. J. McCaughan – M.V. Theft-Autos-Driveway
Unit Blk Nyack -Victim reported that at approximately 0030hours he parked his 2001 Nissan in the private parking lot behind his residence. When he returned to it at 0900 hours this morning he discovered the vehicle missing. Victim states vehicle was secured when he parked it.


11-05-08 15:22 hours Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft-Attempted – from Buildings
Unit Blk Eldon Rd. – Victim reported while inside his home he heard a noise on the side of his house. Looking out his window he saw a white male standing on a chair outside of the back door. The victim opened the door and startled the actor who ran to an older model red pick-up trick with a yellow tailgate and some type of sign on the side. Actor described as a scruffy looking white male with a mustache and beard, possibly 5’8″ with a thin build. The actor was trying to steal the gutter off the house because they are copper. Victim has had several copper down spouts stolen from his house over the past year.


11-05-08 20:15 hours Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Fraud-Credit Cards, ATM
100 Blk E. Greenwood Ave. – Complainant called the police to report that an unknown actor entered her boyfriends 3rd floor apartment and did take his Commerce Bank Visa ATM card and made a t least four unauthorized transactions. Incident occurred between 10-27-08 at 23:30 hours and 10-28-08 at 01:00 hours. Sometime that evening the actor(s) did remove the ATM card and charged $146.00 at the WAWA in Lansdowne and the Seven Eleven store in Yeadon. The account has since been closed. Complainant made report on behalf of her boyfriend since he is currently in jail.


11-06-08 09:01 hours Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft-attempted from auto
200 Blk W. Greenwood Ave. – Victim believes someone when through her unlocked vehicle last evening. No damage to vehicle and nothing missing.


11-06-08 09:21 hours Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft attempted from auto
100 Blk Owen Ave. – Victim reports someone had been in her unlocked car sometime overnight. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.


11-06-08 16:01 hours Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft $200 & over all other
100 Blk Green Ave. – Victim states someone stole her Sprint Blackberry curve cell phone from her desk drawer (PWHS) She called Sprint to cancel her service immediately and called police to report theft.

Unit blk Eldon Ave – Victim reports someone riffled through his unlocked SUV overnight. Nothing missing from vehicle.


11-06-08 11:50 hours Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft $50 to $200 from auto
100 Blk W. Greenwood Ave. – Victim reports her unlocked vehicle had been riffled through. Taken were several credit cards and over twenty dollars in cash.


11-07-08 01:26 hours Ptl L. Albertoli – Public Drunkenness
W. Baltimore @ Runnemede Ave – Received call for disoriented male wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. Offender was located and was very disoriented and manifestly under the influence of alcohol. Offender returned to police station. Offender received a citation and was released to his sister.


11-07-08 05:26 hours Ptl L. Albertoli – Theft under $50. From auto
Unit Blk Rose Ln. – Victim found his wife’s unlocked vehicle had been riffled and that gas had been siphoned from the vehicle.


11-07-08 12:01 hours Ptl. C. Brown – Narcotics-possession-morphine, heroin
200 Blk N. Wycombe Ave. – Responded to report of trespasser at Marshall House Apartments. Was met by property manager and defendant. Property manager states offender was in vacant apartment without permission. This officer did check for any outstanding warrants on offender and found an active warrant out of Philadelphia. Defendant placed under arrest. Search of prisoner found two small plastic baggies containing white powdery rock like substance, this tested positive for cocaine.

100 Blk W. Essex Ave. – Victims unlocked vehicle riffled. Approximately $4.00 missing.


11-08-08 10:48 hours Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft under $50 from auto
100 Blk Ardmore Ave. – Victim reports two of his unlocked vehicles were riffled. Missing change and music CD’s


11-08-08 11:26 hours Ptl. C.Schiazza – Theft $50 to $200 from auto
100 Blk Berkley Ave. – Victim reports his wifes unlocked vehicle riffled. Missing from vehicle was wife’s purse, credit cards, and $15.00 cash. Credit cards have been canceled.


11-08-08 15:45 hours Ptl. C. Brown – Theft $200 & over from auto
100 Blk Owen Ave. – Victim stated his parked vehicle was riffled through, missing Canon digital camera and his AT&T gray flip phone. Cell phone has been disconnected. Victim believes he locked the vehicle. No damage was viewed to the vehicle at this time.


11-08-08 12:26 Ptl C. Brown – Theft under $50 from auto
100 Blk Walton Pl. – Victim stated his parked vehicle had been riffled and $25.00 in cash and $10.00 in change was taken. Victim believed he locked the doors. No damage was viewed to the vehicle at this time.


11-08-08 10:22 hours Ptl. C. Brown – theft attempted from auto
100 Blk Berkley Ave. – Victim’s unlocked vehicle riffled. Nothing missing from vehicle


11-08-08 10:03 Ptl. C. Brown – Theft $200 & over from auto
100 Blk Windermere Ave. – Victim’s unlocked vehicle riffled. IPOD and pink carrying case were taken.


11-08-08 18:07 hours Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft under $50 from auto
100 Blk Walton Pl. – Victim’s unlocked vehicle riffled. Approximately $4.00 in change missing.


11-08-08 19:43 hours Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft under $50 retail theft
Unit Blk N. Lansdowne (WAWA) – Officer dispatched to WAWA store for retail theft. On arrival off-duty Officer Anthony Salvatore, Darby Borough had an offender in custody. Offender was transported to Lansdowne Station and charged with Retail Theft; defendant had prior convictions for retail theft.


11-08-08 22:55 hours Ptl. C. Craig – Theft $50 to $200 from auto
200 Blk W. Essex Ave. – Victims unlocked vehicle riffled. Nothing known missing


11-09-08 03:54 hours Ptl. M. McGinnis – MV theft- trucks -street- commercial
200 Blk Drexel Ave. – Officer Craig observed a white vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, this vehicle disregarded posted stop signs and eventually lost control and hit a PECO pole, offender exited vehicle and began to run with Off. Craig in foot pursuit, suspect lost due to Officer Injury. Surrounding police departments set up perimeter and suspect/offender was apprehended. Owner of vehicle was notified and reports he did not give offender permission to have his vehicle. Offender arrested for theft of motor vehicle and other charges.
