E. Plumstead Ave- Domestic dispute between unmarried couple, one male asked to leave. One arrest


09/29/08 – 02:15 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Theft from MV
200 blk Congress Ave. – Unlocked vehicle riffled- owner of vehicle out of town, unknown if anything missing from vehicle.

200 blk Congress Ave. – Unlocked vehicle riffled – victim states nothing missing from vehicle.

09/29/08 – 07:50 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft from MV
200 blk Green Ave. – Two unlocked vehicles entered – No loss from one vehicle the other vehicle was missing an Apple IPod 30G video device and white shirt.


09/29/08 – 03:24 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Theft from MV
100 blk Berkley Ave – Victim observed a b/m, approx 30-35 years old inside his vehicle and then exited. Checked surrounding area with assistance of Upper Darby’s K-9 unit, lost scent in park. Victim states some change and a suction window mount taken from vehicle.


09/29/08 – 06:21 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft from MV
Unit blk E. Plumstead Ave – 2 vehicles riffled in driveway – victims states she thought the vehicles were locked and there was nothing missing from either vehicle.


09/29/08 – 08:22 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft from MV
200 blk Crawford Ave. – Victim discovered both her unlocked vehicles had been riffled through, she found missing: change and a pair of earrings.


09/29/08 – 09:31 – Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft from MV
100 blk W. Baltimore Ave. (rear) – LPD dispatched to W. Baltimore for theft from vehicle, in addition to the theft the Sergeant discovered a second vehicle had been vandalized in rear of building. Victim states nothing missing from vehicle, but window was broken.


09/29/08 – 12:18 – Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft from MV
200 blk Braddock Ave – Vehicle riffled overnight. (unknown if vehicle was locked) Missing from vehicle: IPod Nano, HP digital camera, Garmon GPS c-50 Navigation System and CD case w/ numerous photos, and a camel color Burberry Raincoat w/umbrella.


09/29/08 – 09:10 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft from MV
100 blk W. Baltimore Ave (rear) – Vehicle riffled overnight. Missing from vehicle: Fine Drive Global Positioning System, a T-Mobile car charger and broke the charger to the GPS unit. Vehicle window was smashed.


09/29/08 – 11:02 hours – Sgt. McCaughan – Domestic Assault
Unit blk W. Baltimore Ave. – Domestic assault, male victim refused medical treatment. Charges to be filed against female involved.


09/30/08 – 12:49 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft from MV
Unit blk Drexel Ave. – Victim discovered his unlocked vehicle riffled. Victim states change missing from vehicle.


09/29/08 – 16:09 – Sgt. McCaughan – Theft from MV
Unit blk W. Plumstead Ave – Victim discovered that vehicle was ransacked overnight. Victim states change missing. Victim also states vehicle was locked but he had windows open a bit to let air circulate


09/29/08 – 21:27 hours – Sgt. McCaughan -Theft from MV.

Unit blk Drexel Ave – Victim states his unlocked was entered overnight, approximately $20.00 missing


09/29/08 – 22:45 hours – Sgt. Eisenhart – Drug arrest
Area Plumstead/Maple/Blackburn Aves – Detective conducting overnight surveillance observed suspicious vehicle activity. Vehicle stopped and Detective effected arrest for possession of drugs.


09/30/08 – 09:00 – Sgt. McCaughan- Theft from MV
100 blk Drexel Ave – Victims discovered his unlocked vehicle entered sometime overnight. Victims states approximately $35.00 missing from vehicle.


09/30/08 – 16:25 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis- Retail Theft
Unit blk E. Baltimore Ave. – Retail theft from Rite-Aid, offender arrested.


09/30/08 – 19:25 – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Assault- Firearm
S. Union Ave – Report of vehicle accident with injuries. Possible incident of road rage where hand gun was produced. One actor fled scene, other person taken to hospital for possible injuries from accident.


10/01/08 – 21:52 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza- Trespassing of Real Property
200 blk Jackson Ave – Complainant reports subjects in her shed, 4 males, when complainant yelled they fled area. Stopped 4 males, complainant unable to identify suspects.


09/30/08 – 15:00 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Robbery- Strong Arm – Highway
Berkley Ave between Windermere Ave. and Ardmore Ave – Victim relates a vehicle occupied by four males pulled up and three of the males got out and forced him to the ground and dumped his back pack. Taken was Motorola Razor cell phone.


10/01/08 – 08:10 – Ptl M. McGinnis -Burglary-Forced Entry- NonResidence- Night
100 blk N. Wycombe Ave – Victim states storage garage he rents was entered by actor who had pried the hasp and lock off the door. Missing various hand tools.


10/01/08 – 09:00 – Ptl. C. Craig – Theft from MV
100 blk W. Plumstead – Victim states his unlocked vehicle was entered overnight. Missing $250.00 ,value of two briefcases.


10/02/08 – 00:22 – Ptl. K. Kienzle – Robbery- Strong Arm- Highway
N. Lansdowne & Baltimore Aves. – Victim flagged down officer to states she was grabbed from behind and her wallet was taken from her the wallet contained $20.00 and train pass. Victim described the subject as a white male, approximately 6feet tall. He had shoulder length dark hair and a tattoo on his lefts hand.


10/02/08 00:56 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Drive under the influence
Unit blk of N. Lansdowne – Ptl. Meehan of East Lansdowne PD was in the area assisting Lansdowne Pd with an accident and he heard yelling and screaming and was approached by a witness who stated the person she was riding with was drunk driving. Ptl. Meehan made contact with the defendant and detected the odor of alcohol on her breath. Ptl. C. Schiazza responded and made contact with witness and the defendant, who appeared to by extremely intoxicated. Filed tests were performed which defendant failed. She was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.


10/02/08 – 08:00 – Ptl C. Craig – Theft from MV
Unit blk E. Essex Ave – Victim states his vehicle ransacked overnight. Verizon cell phone, car charger, cell phone ear piece and approximately $80.00 in change missing along with MV registration and insurance cards. Victim was unsure if he had locked the vehicle.


10/03/08 08:16 hours Ptl. M. Mugler – Criminal Mischief- All other
100 blk E. Greenwood Ave – Complaint called police in reference to a woman yelling and scream outside the apartment building. Complainant explained the female picked up a bucket and threw it at the first floor window cracking same. Actor fled in gold Chevrolet. The suspect is girlfriend of another tenant. Once Officer is able to obtain information on the suspect she will be cited for Criminal Mischief


10/03/08 15:24 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Robbery- Strong Arm- Highway
Unit blk Windermere Ave. Police dispatched for robbery that occurred 30 minutes ago. Ptl. Selimis spoke with victim and his father. Victim states he was approached by two black males wearing brown hoodies, with hood over their heads, dark blue jeans approximately 18-19 years. They asked victim if he wanted to buy a red IPOD, he stated he did not and continued walking south on Windermere. The two actors approached him again and told him to “take everything out of your pockets so we won’t kill you” Victim handed over his Nintendo DS. Victim believed the actors were armed as they were reaching into the font pocked of their hoodies. Actors left on feet heading north on Windermere. Victim did not tell his father until 30 minutes later. Victim and his father then drove around the neighborhood for another 10-15minutes until they called police


10/04/08 09:19 – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft-$200 and over from building
100 blk N. Wycombe Avenue- Victim reports he rented garage where he stores tools was entered. This garage was left secured by the standard garage handle lock and an additional hasp lock secured with a padlock. Taken from garage – a power washer and grayco paint sprayer. Victim states he found the padlock unlocked and the garage door unlocked, he states he is the only one with a key to the garage.


10/04/08 11:00 hours – Sgt. McCaughan – Theft- under $50.00 from auto
200 blk Congress – Victims daughter reports after hearing about a rash of vehicle break ins in the area she checked her father’s vehicle and found the car riffled through. The vehicle was in an open garage.
She does not know if anything is missing as her father was away.


10/04/08 00:00 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft – $00.00 & over from auto
200 blk Jackson – Victim returned from vacation to find his vehicle had been entered. He believes the passenger side door may have been unlocked. Missing from the vehicle GPS I-Way navigation system w/5″ screen and change.


10/04/08 14:40 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft-$200 & over from Auto
Mansfield and W. Essex Aves. – Police dispatched for suspicious males in area trying to open car doors and looking into vehicle windows. Witness states he observed the two males walking up a private driveway at 100 blk W. Essex Ave looking into a silver Honda parked in the driveway and tried to open the vehicle by pulling on door handles. Police located one actor with evidence on his person and actor was arrested. Actor two was taken into custody also. – Two juveniles arrested


10/05/08 20:55 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – M.V. Theft – street-residential area
200 blk Glentay Ave. – Police responded for report of vehicle just stolen. Upon arrival police spoke to the victim who reported her vehicle, a white 99 Plymouth Voyager) had just been stolen. The vehicle was unlocked and running at the time of the theft. Victim observed a male enter the vehicle and drive south on Eldon Ave. the victims dog was in the vehicle at time of theft, but actor stopped the vehicle and let the dog out. Victim states her purse and friend’s purse were in vehicle when it was stolen. They both reported their identification and credit cards were in the purses. Also in vehicle was Verizon cell phone and $200.00 cash. Friends LG Verizon cell phone and $100.00 cash were in vehicle. One purse belonging to the friend was reported found in the bed of a truck in the 200 blk Crawford. The other purse was found in front of property in the 200 blk N. Highland Ave. Both victims advised to cancel credit cards and notify any company/bank to stop service. Several calls made on one victim’s cell phone. Police investigating calls made. Vehicle was recovered 0200hours in front of unit blk. W. Albemarle Ave.
Referred all investigations to Detective Donegan.
