Police activity week of 04-26-10 through 05-02-10

04-26-10 11:53 Hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Criminal mischief to automobiles
200 block N. Wycombe Ave. – The victim states that he parked his vehicle in the parking lot for the Marshall House apartments last evening around 2315 hours. When he returned to his car this morning he discovered the passenger side window had been popped out. The window was lying on the ground next to the vehicle. There was nothing missing from the inside of the vehicle, but papers were scattered about.


04-29-10 12:44 Hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Burglary-Forced Entry – Nonresidence
Unit block Nyack Ave. – Victim states unknown person/s broke into to his garage and stole several items. The door handle and the garage door were damaged in the break in. Investigation to continue.


04-30=-10 23:10 Hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Narcotics-possession
Unit block w. Baltimore Ave. – Police responded to unit block of w. Baltimore for a call of an unwanted subject in the apartment. The property owner stated that the offender was in her apartment without her permission. The property owner requested police removed the offender. Police entered the property and located the offender sleeping on the couch. In plain view on the glass coffee talbe were six blue wax paper baggies stamped “Moon Dust” with a picture of a crescent moon stamped on them. The baggies contained a powder like substance suspected to be heroin. The offender was placed in custody and the suspected drugs will be sent to PSP lab for analysis.


05-01-10 00:21 Hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Criminal mischief
Unit block N. Highland Ave. – On police arrival the victim showed this officer a window in his living room that had been broken. Checking outside located a large rock under the window. Value of window $150.00.


05-01-10 04:36 Hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct
Powelton Ave. – Received numerous calls for a fight out involving several males in area of Powelton & Hansell. On police arrival this officer observed the offender staggering in the roadway on Hansell. The offender stated he was assaulted by several males. Police made contact with persons involved who stated the offender was asked to leave their residence and would not. The offender did attack one of the residents; this was confirmed by a witness. The offender was taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.


05-02-10 00:36 Hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Public drunkenness
Fairview Ave. – Offender arrested for public drunkenness and bench warrant. Offender transported to Upper Darby Police Headquarters and released to the constables.


05-02-10 20:07 Hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Assaults
200 block W. Plumstead Ave. – Domestic dispute between former friends. The offenders will be charged appropriately.
