Police activity week of 04-19-10 through 04-25-10
04-20-10 19:45 Hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- $50 to $200
100 block W. Essex Ave. – Victim stated she wanted to report a missing ladder and down spout from her property.
04-21-10 13:43 Hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Disorderly conduct
100 block e. Stratford Ave. -The complainant stated to police that he observed the offender urinating on the side walk next to his residence. The offender admitted to police that he urinated in public. The offender was issued a citation for the offense.
04-22-10 23:33 Hours – Ptl. L. Doyle – Disorderly conduct
Scottdale Road -This officer observed an occupied blue vehicle in the parking lot of Hoffman Park. This officer made contact with the occupants. Did smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana and observed a green leafy substance on the pants of the front passenger. All five occupants admitted to smoking marijuana. All five were cited for disorderly conduct. This officer informed the driver that she would not be able to drive her vehicle that night, and she would be able to retrieve the key the next morning at police headquarters.
04-24-10 – 1042 Hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Disorderly conduct
S. Lansdowne Ave. – Police were dispatched to the Lansdowne Train Station for a report of a middle aged man with his pants down wiping himself. Spoke to witness/complainant who reported seeing the male as the train pulled up to the station. The offender is a resident of Horizon House and has mental problems. The offender will be cited for disorderly conduct and returned to Horizon House.
04-24-10 17:59 Hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary-No force-Residence day
200 block Congress Ave. – Police received information of a burglary that had just occurred. Aon arrival this officer was met by complainant who stated that he was upstairs in his girlfriends/victims house when he heard a noise at the bottom of the steps. The complainant observed a man standing in the kitchen; he did recognize the man as a neighbor. Police did apprehend the offender and returned him to the police station. The victim stated her laptop was missing, the laptop was found beside the offenders resident and processed and returned to the victim.
04-25-10 04:28 Hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Disorderly conduct
W. Baltimore @ Scottdale Rd – While this officer was on patrol did observed a white male exit the passenger side of a Nissan Maxima and run to the corner where he stopped a sign from the lawn. The male then ran back to the vehicle. This officer conducted a vehicle stop and asked if he worked for the company where he had just removed the sign. The offender stated he did not. The offender will be cited for disorderly conduct.
