Police activity week of 03-08-10 through 03-14-10

03-08-10 15:30 Hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Public Drunkenness
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – This officer responded to police headquarters to meet the subject who had made arrangements for herself to be fingerprinted per court order. While speaking to the subject this officer detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from her breath and person, along with glassy eyes. I asked the subject if she had been drinking, to which she stated no. The subject did admit to drinking earlier in the day. A breath test was given to her, which she did not pass. At this time the subject was taken into custody and placed in a cell to await sobriety. The subject was issued 2 citations for public Drunkenness & Disorderly Conduct.

03-09-10 Hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Assault
S. Union Ave. – Police received a call for vandalism to a vehicle. While driving on S. Union Ave. and approaching the RR tracks the complainant heard a crash on his passenger side window. The complainant son was sitting in the R/F passenger seat. A rock shattered the passenger side rear window and struck the head rest directly behind the complainants son’s head. The complainant observed three black males flee the scene. Unable to locate the actors. Investigation to continue.

03-10-10 07:50 Hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Disorderly Conduct
109 W. Greenwood Ave. – The complainant called police after her baby’s father, the offender, was sitting out front of her house in his car, constantly calling and texting the complainant. In the past the offender has made threats to damage the complainant’s car and assaulted the complainant and her mother. While enroute Officer D. Schiazza observed the offender’s vehicle leaving Greenwood Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted and it was discovered the offender was driving on a suspended PA driver’s license. While on the stop, the offender mad another harassing call to the complainant even when police were present. The offenders was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and advised not to return to Greenwood Avenue uninvited.

03-10-10 17:00 Hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart -Theft $50 to $200 from auto
100 block Madison Road – The victim reports that back in December 2009 his 1998 Chrysler (unknown model) four door burgundy vehicle broke down and he gave it to “john” at John’s Auto Repair near 40th & Poplar Sts, Phila to scrap. The victim left his Pa registration plate on the vehicle. The victim reports that he has just received a parking citation in the mail from Philadelphia with the tag information on it. The victim is calling to report the tag lost or stolen.

03-13-10 13 41 Hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Disorderly Conduct
S. Lansdowne Ave. – The complainant reports two white males in a blue VW just shot at her car. The area was checked and the vehicle was gone. This officer did respond to the address the vehicle came back to, which is the offender’s residence and obtained a cell phone number for the offender. This officer met with the offender. The offender admitted that he was showing his friend a BB gun when it went off. This officer did confiscate the five items listed as property in this report. The offender was advised he would be cited by mail.
