Police activity week of 02/22/10 through 02/28/10

02-22-10 05:00 Hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft-under $50
Unit block Sayers Ave. – The victim states she received a ride home from the offender. The offender stayed in the victim’s apartment till approximately 0430 hours. When he left her purse was missing.

02-23-10 21:58 Hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Assault
200 block Windermere Ave. – Received information that a stolen vehicle out of Marple Township may be at or headed to the 200 block of Windermere Ave operated the a black male. On arrival at the location located the offender. The offender placed his hands in his pockets several times during the investigation after being advised to remove his hands from his pockets. The offender was unwilling to obey police commands and when this officer attempted to arrest the offender he lunged at this officer knocking this officer out of his path and fled the scene. The offender was apprehended and returned to police headquarters where he will be charged appropriately.

02-24-10 15:45 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Robbery-strong arm-highway
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Victim states she was the victim of a strong arm robbery last night. She states while walking sounth on Lansdowne Ave. she was approached by two black males from behind. The victim was talking on her cell phone to her father. The subjects forcibly took her phone and both subjects fled south on N. Lansdowne Ave. Phone is a T-immobile My touch, black with a pink protective case.

02-25-10 15:25 Hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – theft- $200 & over
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – Police responded to CVS store for a theft discovered. On arrival this officer made contact with the regional loss prevention manager. The loss prevention manager reported that the store manager left the store on 2/2/10 with the deposit bag containing $6,331.00 to deposit at Wachovia bank. The store manager never made the deposit and had not been heard from since. This officer will file a warrant for the arrest of the store manager.

02-28-10 01:30 Hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Disorderly conduct
W. Marshall & Edmonds Ave. – While on patrol this officer observed the offender bend over and pick up what appeared to be a brick. This officer did conduct a pedestrian stop and observed a red brick in the hand of the offender. The offender did have a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath and person. The offender was transported to police headquarters and cited for disorderly conduct.

02-27-10 17:29 Hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – burglary-forced entry- residence-day
Unit block Windermere Ave. – The victim stated he believes his ex-girlfriend kicked the apartment door in and stole items from the apartment. Spoke to the ex-girlfriend who states she removed only the property belonging to her. Investigation to continue.

02-27-10 18:43 Hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- $200 & over-from auto
Unit block Nyack Ave. – Victim’s unlocked vehicle was ransacked. Missing from vehicle : GPs unit, checkbook, Liberian Passport and photos.
