Police activity week of 01-03-11 through 01-09-11
01-04-11 11:18 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Harassment
100 block Midway Ave. – Police dispatched for unwanted subject. The reporting party was upset and yelling into the phone that something had to be done. The reporting party stated the offender refused to pay the RP money he owes her and now the offender is harassing her via phone. Located the offender and advised him to cease this behavior as if he continues charges against him will increase. Offender cited for harassment.
01-01-11 08:59 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Disorderly conduct
100 block Green Ave. (PWHS) – Dispatched to PWHS for report of two females fighting. The offenders got into a fight in a classroom during class. Both offenders were issued citations at the school for disorderly conduct. Both students/offenders to be picked up at the school by their mothers.
01-06-11 08:24 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft- under $50- retail theft
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Police dispatched to the Rite Aid store for shoplifter in custody. The offender did place and concealed two pregnancy test kits in the right sleeve of her jacket. She was taken into custody by store security in the vestibule of the store. The offender did not pay or attempt to pay for the items.
The offender was transported to police headquarters and cited for retail theft.
01-06-11 15:57 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – disorderly conduct
Unit block e. Baltimore Ave. – The offender was viewed on video scanning numerous coupons for other Rite Aid employees, which is against the store’s coupon policy. Citations will be issued to the offender’s juvenile status. The offender was transported to police headquarters where she was later released to her mother.
01-07-11 20:57 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Drive under influence – alcohol
S. Wycombe Ave. @ Nyack Ave. – While on routine patrol this officer observed the offender drive the wrong way on a one-way street. The offender was stopped and advised of the reason for the stop. The offender had glassy eyes and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The offender did fail a preliminary breath test and was placed into custody. The offender will be charged appropriately.
01-07-11 22:48 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Public drunkenness
200 block W. Baltimore Ave. -This officer observed the offender on the 200 block of W. Baltimore Avenue walking west. The offender was observed walking with an unsteady gait as he would sway from one side of the street to the other. On approaching the offender he stated “I know I’m drunk”. A strong odor of alcoholic beverage was emitting from his person. The offender was placed into custody and was cited for public drunkenness.
01-09-11 16:30 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft-$200 & over-from auto
100 block S. Lansdowne Ave. -The victim stated that property was stolen from her vehicle at some point between 2300 hours 1-8-11 through 1630 hours 1-9-11. Access was gained through the rear window, which was broken out.
