Police activity week of 12-27-10 through 01-02-10
12-17-10 09:35 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – MV theft-autos-all other parking lots
100 block S. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded to a stolen vehicle discovered. On arrival the victim stated that her 2003 tan Mercury Mountaineer was stolen from the parking lot on the 100 block of S. Lansdowne ave some time between 12-26-10 21:30 hours and today’s date 09:00 hours.
Officer Bowie of the 12 district Philadelphia Police called to report that the vehicle had been located. The vehicle had crashed in the area of 6757 Harley St. at approximately 03:00 hours.
12-17-10 08:25 hours – Sgt. D. Donegan – Theft $200 & over-from buildings
Unit block W. Stratford Ave. – The victim reported she was out of town for two days and returned December 22. When she returned she noticed a red napkin holder was not on the table. Last night she noticed pair of diamond stud earrings was missing from her bedroom. The victim told her boyfriend and he said that the suspect cleaned the house either 12-21 or 12-22 and that $250.00 was missing from the living room.
Last night the victim called the cleaning lady/suspect and asked about the missing items. The suspect
Mentioned that when she was cleaning, she did knock items off the bureau and maybe they were accidentally “vacuumed up”. The victim was going give the suspect until Wednesday to make it right, but decided to call this officer today.
12-28-10 08:24 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Criminal mischief to autos
Scottdale Rd @ Hoffman Park – The victim called police and reported that sometime overnight the left front driver side door glass window was broken. The vehicle was parked in the Hoffman park parking lot. Nothing was missing from the vehicle. The victim also reported that the window to his neighbor’s vehicle was also shattered.
12-28-10 08:34 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Criminal mischief to autos
Scottdale Rd @ Hoffman Park – The victims’ left driver side door window was shattered. It was parked in the Hoffman Park parking lot.
12-28-10 13:30 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary-forced entry-residence-unknown time
100 block Fairview Ave. – An employee of Remax real estate came to police headquarters to report damage to a property on the 100 block of Fairview Avenue. The complainant does checks of vacant properties that are for sale. She stated that sometime in the past two weeks, unknown actor/s entered the house and stole approximately $10,000 worth of copper pipe.
12-20-10 02:30 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – theft-under $50 retail theft
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. (Wawa) – Police responded to the Wawa at the request of East Lansdowne Police Officer McGrenera. ELPD Officer observed a male hide a sandwich on his person then left the store without paying for the item. The offender was in police custody on arrival. The offender was returned to police headquarters, a check of his criminal history showed no prior retail theft arrests. The offender was cited and released.
01-01-11 15:58 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Burglary-attempt-residence-day
100 block E. Marshall Rd. – Police dispatched for report of a 911 hang up call. On arrival made contact with the complainant and witness, who both reported that a black male had been next door and broke the window there. They reported they were not sure whether the male had entered the house or not.
Police located a broken window, Sgt. Kienzle and Officer Daryl Savitski and this officer searched the house. No one was located in the home and it did not appear as if the actor made entry.
The victim returned home and was advised of the break in attempt
